In a recent visit to Mexico City I was able to present and attend to a very special an intimate listening session on the recently open "Shhh Bar" part of the Ninety Nine Records Store in the Condesa neighborhood.
The bar has an impressive audio equipment and we were able to listen to to the album there, very similar the recent listening rooms with equipment from OJAS that have been mounted in the MoMa of San Francisco and other museums in NY and London.
The whole idea is to play full vinyl albums in complete silence while enjoying selected cocktails prepared specifically for the evening.
We played the album which sounded great... an amazing experience for me, (guessing it was for everyone else too) and I was also glad to see that we had a long queue of people waiting to get in. We ended up limiting the time in the room to 2 hours just to be able to fit the people waiting.
I've left 5 copies of the album signed in the store, be quick because they will most probably sold out really quick!
Thanks to the 99 Records Team and to all the people attending, it was an awesome way to celebrate the end of the year.
